Sandra Noe

Executive Director

Celebrating 23 years with Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana, Sandra serves as Executive Director of the Agency.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Calumet College and her Master’s certificate in Non Profit Management from Indiana University Northwest.  Sandra is also certified as a Nutrition Program Administrator.

While her tenure at Meals on Wheels, Sandra has attained membership to many organizations.  Since 1988, she has been a member of Meals on Wheels Association of America, serving on the National Certification Team and on the Agency Certification Board.  Sandra also holds membership in the National Society of Human Resource Management, as well as the Indiana Chapter, since 2003.  As an active member of the Continuity of Care Association (Board Member 1992-1998) and the Aging Advisory Committee for NWICA, Sandra stays very current on issues that are affecting our clients and other community resources that are available to them.

 

Michelle Meeks

Receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University Calumet in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management, Michelle has been Director of Food Service for Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana for 13 years.  While attending Purdue, she was selected by her professors to be the lab assistant for their academic program, Advance Quantity Food Production from 1991-1993.  In this position, she assisted in both ‘back of the house’ and ‘front of the house’ production.  In 1993, Michelle completed her student internship for Meals on Wheels and has never left!

Michelle received several awards while in college: Outstanding Senior Candidate from the Department of Behavioral Sciences (1993), Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges (1992) and the Chicago Food Brokers Association Scholarship (1992). She maintains memberships to the following organizations: Hospitality and Tourism Management Advisory Committee for Purdue since 2001, American Culinary Federation–Chefs of Northwest Indiana since 1997, and Meals on Wheels Association of America since 2005.

 

Tula Gogolak

Tula joined Meals on Wheels in January of 2008.  Tula brought with her unique experiences from both the business and non-profit resource sectors of our community.   Prior to “re-starting” her professional career in 1996, Tula made the decision to be a “stay at home mom” for her two children.  Tula began her work in the business sector.  Throughout those ten years, Tula earned numerous awards and recognition in the construction industry.

As Tula became more involved in the community, she realized that the work of non-profits is very important for the sustainability of our communities.  Starting her non-profit career in 2003, Tula quickly assimilated her business background to the non-profit sector and her work.

Tula makes the most of the combination of innovative resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit to maximize the financial resources for Meals on Wheel; enhancing the Community Relations and Development Department of Meals on Wheels. 

Dedicated to her profession, Tula is a Charter Member and the Charter Vice President of Membership of the local Association of Fundraising Professionals; a Member of the Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWAA); and is working to complete MOWAA Certification in the areas of Marketing and Development.

Tula received her Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, in Greencastle, IN.

Tula and her husband, John, reside in Crown Point, IN and have two college age children, Jon and Will.
